Duty of information according to Battery Act (BattVO) for the disposal of batteries
According to § 12 sentence 1 no. 1-3 BattV (Act for taking back and disposing of used batteries and accumulators-BattVO) dated March 27, 1998 (Federal Law Gazette (BGBl.) I S. 658) we as a seller point out, that as an end consumer customers are legally obligated to return used batteries. After use batteries can be returned to the seller or in his/her immediate vicinity free of charge. Should batteries be sent to the seller, then the package is to be provided with sufficient postage.
The following symbol means
it is a matter of batteries containing heavy metals and harmful substances which may not be disposed of with ordinary household or commercial wastes. The abbreviations located beneath the symbol stand for: „Cd“ (cadmium), „Li“ (lithium) / „Li-Ion“ (lithium-ion), „Ni“ (nickel), „Mh“ (metal hydride), „Pb“ (lead), „Zi“ (zinc).
